Why would you consider a cremation urn over a traditional burial? Because cremation is becoming increasingly popular due to its convenience and lower cost. As a result, there are thousands of  urns to choose from. What many people do not realize is that they do not have to purchase a cremation urn when the person passes away. An urn is not required to obtain the ashes from a crematory. The crematory can provide the ashes to you in a plastic bag, often placed inside a cardboard box, that you can take home and add to a cremation urn at a later date. Therefore, we recommend taking the time to do research and find the perfect cremation urn to store the person’s ashes.

Urns can be made from almost any material. However, cremation urns are typically made from wood, metal, or stone. Wooden cremation urns look natural and rustic, and can easily be engraved with a name or design. Marble and granite cremation urns look elegant but are also very expensive. Metal cremation urns have become one of the most popular types of cremation urns because they are strong and sturdy and are not as expensive as stone cremation urns.

So were continually told that more and more people are choosing cremation over traditional burial, and the reason for this is the over all cost of cremation v/s traditional burial. We are also told that some people even want to shop for their own cremation urn long before they die.

Some even want their remains to be put in the same cremation urn as their spouse or life partner, so they shop for a urn big enough to fit both of them in it and when the first one passes they are placed in the urn then its put up some where safe until their mate passes then they are put together and are ether placed in a niche or on a mantle or even buried if their wishes were such.
